The Royal Oak was originally built as two houses in 1921 then converted in 1924 into the public house that stands here today. Offering a warm, friendly welcome with a good, comfortable atmosphere, we are very much a "locals" pub, but we welcome newcomers. Leased by locals who live in the area, we are keen to provide a pub for local people, therefore we have a large beer garden with a smoking area at the rear and large screen tv's with Sky Sports are soon to be available.
We now serve Sunday Roasts.
Sunday Dinner is from 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm.Every Friday we have live music where a number of cover bands play all types of music including Soul, Funk, Pop, Indie and Blues. We have a midnight license for Fridays and Saturdays and we will soon be having a Jam Night - day to be arranged. Please have a look at our events page for bands etc.
